It's an Arabic word. So, could have different spelling forms in English. It used to be written Moslem, & was not changed to Muslim until the late 1980s.
I don't think spelling is very important for anglicised names.

Either is fine, but i'm more used to seeing it spelled Muslim in modern writings, and Moslem in older works.

The closes to Arabic is: Muslim, although the vowel after the 'm' in Arabic does not have a match in English, so 'u' is used. If you hear an Arabic person pronounce it, you will see that it does not even sound like: Muslim.

The correct term is "Muslim". If you visit major Islamic sites, you will find they spell it as "Muslim", not "Moslem or Mozlem".
"Muslim" is closer to correct pronunciation of it's Arabic word .
