Well I suppose that depends on the people involved. Before I married I had quite a few proposals. Everywhere from after 2 weeks of dating to 2 months of dating. None of them ever felt right until I found my husband. We met June 1 and married Jan 18. A little over 6 months. We've now been together 6 years and married 5 and it works!

I know an elderly couple who say they were married two weeks to the day after they meet and they just celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary! Of course she left her parents home right inot their home together. The are the Sweetest couple I've ever seen still very hands on lovey dovely. Holding hands and all of that. I've also known people who knew each other for years and the marriage didn't last. Marriage is full of ups and downs it is something that you have to work at, to often now days couples call it quits before they give the marriage a chance.

It's difficult to say, but if you are looking for a guideline, I'd say at least a year and maybe more if you have chemistry but serious issues. The more time you spend together experiencing life and learning about your different family values (you marry the whole family, not just one person), the better you will be able to see if it's going to work out.

Many strongly recommend pre-marital counseling so that a qualified professional can pose critical questions to both of you for consideration BEFORE you make the final legal commitment of marriage.

You can get married as soon as both you and your partner reach an agreement and will strive to hold on to that agreement. Marriage is about two way devotion and a play along the rules. You can talk someone into marrying you, but it will not be what you're looking for. I believe any marriage will work as long as no rules are broken. Love is over-rated but it will come along the way.

It's when ever you feel is the right time. Me and my fiance have been together for almost 5 years and we are getting married in June. We lived together for a couple years, basically living the married life and decided that it was time to make the next step.

You should definitely wait until you can spell MARRIED correctly! (Sorry, I'm in a very sarcastic mood today.)
