How long? Only god knows. Just let fate decide if you believe the right guy would come along. If not, start to find someone who can get along with you and who knows, maybe he is your Mr Right. Good luck.

Your expectations are WAY TO HIGH. If you are waiting for the RIGHT GUY to come your way, I hope you have a comfortable seat. Life is happening every minute around you... Why on Earth are you waiting for it to come to you? If you don't date guys, then how are you going to be able to compare who is the RIGHT one? By the way, there are no RIGHT ones... They are only people. Look for the ones that may have your same interests so you can spend more time together building a relationship that will eventually let you know that you have found and nurtured the right one... Stop waiting! Your not getting any younger...

Being independent is not a problem. Your age is also not a problem. If you are not sure wait for the right guy. If you feel lonely bring up a nice dog. You will agree that the dog is mans best friend.

if your receptive then you shouldn't have to wait long. that being typed, often times the simple act of doubt may come across subconsciously and men will pick up on that (not attractive). that being typed, men will usually jump at anything that breathes and does not attach immediately. so, just put yourself out there and you will start meeting people. also, remember that dating is like a sport - the more practice you have, the better you will be at it. so, get your practice on... stop waiting.

Just a thought for you. It sounds like your waiting for lightning to strike, love at first sight, which is romantic, but maybe you have met the "right" guy already but never got to know him.

let me start by saying i would love love love to be 30 again. best years of my life. and if you are succesfully independent be happy with that. at least you are in a position to be picky. i have found that when you least expect it someone will come into your life and turn it upside down.
