Nascar 24 needs to go to the Chevy line of questions, and yes the Mustang is cool, and if the new ones weren't so cool, why did GM and Chrysler jump on the same bandwagon with retro styling? Everyone slams Ford and yet "their" beloved carmakers follow Fords every move. Just remember, any car will breakdown without the proper care and maintenance.

The original '60s fastback is cool. But not the convertible or coupe, because they are about as quick and sporty as a cruise ship. Shelby GT350 and other tuned special editions are best. The only mustangs that are cool that are not the mark 1, are the Boss and shelby versions of the mark2. Anything else is absolubtly, deffinately not cool

Car *cool* is a subjective matter.
IF you think it is cool, then it doesn't really matter what I or the rest of answers think.
I personally think that the Mustang is one of the top 4 cars that has come out of the U.S. I have had 3 Fox Body Ponies and loved them all! (1979 V6, 1982 T-Top V8, 1989 4 cyl)

Depends.
On year, and make within that year.
And if you're talking the new ones - cool looking, but remember, they're american muscle cars... so they can't compete in acceleration, cornering and deceleration with lighter cars with similar horsepower.
However - if we're just going with coolness - yes, they're very cool... definitely a return to the good old days of the muscle car.
So much so that all the american companies are reinventing their old and inferior competitors to the Mustang... the GREAT american muscle car...

The new body style of Mustang is ok...but it'll never be what it was. I personally wouldn't own one unless it was made before 1973. Once they went to the fox-body, everything pretty much went to crap. Teenagers started buying 'em, slapping on a flowmaster muffler and bragging that they drive a 'race car' when it's the same PoS their mom got groceries in the day before. Mustangs and Camaros have gotten more and more alike, you can't drive 5 miles down the road without seeing 5 of each. If you ask me, there's too many of 'em around and I wouldn't want to be on that bandwagon.
FYI: Mustangs & Camaros aren't Muscle Cars, they never were, insurance companies have dubbed them Pony Cars instead. Intermediate bodies were considered Muscle Cars. (ie. Chevelle, Galaxie, Roadrunner.)

Whether you like them or not the Mustang will be a legend and an icon forever. Especially what Carroll Shelby has done with his mods and Jack Rousch too. It's definately cool to have one !!

there is not any real downside for the electrical powered followers. look at lots of the extra recent autos--it extremely is all they have. downside of a inventory belt pushed fan is that it is not very helpful while stopped. I certainly have a 'sixty 9 w/351C (substitute) and had the comparable venture as quickly as I first outfitted it. It used to boil over at stops. I put in 3-row radiator meant for a great-block, replaced the inventory fan with extreme perf fan (no take carry of), further a fan shroud and extra 2 small electric powered followers.. It nevertheless ran on the nice and cozy side at site visitors jams, yet temp upward thrust substitute into at the back of schedule long adequate for site visitors to start shifting. not extra boiling over. additionally, I accept as true with increasing the idle speed a sprint. that still helped.

Tom da bomb has no clue...he probaly drives his mommie's Volvo station wagon.
The mustang (especially the new ones) is the most bad-a$$ car for the money. Not very practical, but if I were single and had no kids I'd be lining up at a Ford dealer to get my hands on the new Shelby GT500.........

Its cool for a Ford, but its not unique. Your better off getting a Chevy CAmaro, they will have a retro in '09, Dodge will have a Challenger in '08. I like the Dodge the best
