How about sharing the V Smile, they each get a controler and some games suited for their own age group.

My son got his V smile at 2 1/2 and he played with it all the time. The games for 3 to 5 are definitely easy enough. The 4 1/2 year old will need the games for 6 to 8 most likely.

How about Diego's Talking House? It is pretty cool boy toy.

Good luck.

I know it sounds crazy but a huge sturdy box can be really fun for both kids as they can run and play in it and broaden their imaginations using the other toys they already have inside it. You can paint or deocrate it with stickers or pics your child likes together and save money on the electronics. Also, once the interest in the box dies, you won't feel so bad that you "wasted" money on this toy that only got played with for a month or so.

It's sounds like they have too many toys already. Maybe get them something that will get them interested in a sport, dancing or musict. Something acedemic or interactive. Board games are fun.
