Ok, so here it is. You were warned. For years, I've had this blister like thing on my labia, but It doesn't hurt at all. i've noticed that if I do an intense workout, its get kinda big, skin around it gets thin, and it sometimes pops...kinda like a zit, but this liquid pink red stuff come out, like some kind of blood combo....that's really stinky. I'm still a virgin, so it can't be an STD.

I have no idea what this thing is or what I should do about it. If you know anything, send me the info.

Sorry if this grossed anyone out.

A Bartholin's gland cyst is a swollen fluid-filled lump that develops from a blockage of one of the Bartholin's glands, which are small glands located on each side of the opening to the vagina. Bartholin's gland cysts and abscesses are commonly found in women of reproductive age, developing in approximately 2% of all women.
The Bartholin's glands are located in the lips of the labia that cover the vaginal opening. The glands (normally the size of a pea) provide moisture for the vulva area. A Bartholin's gland cyst may form in the gland itself or in the duct draining the gland. A cyst normally does not cause pain, grows slowly, and may go away without treatment. It usually ranges in size from (1-3 cm) 0.4-1.2 in., although some may grow much larger.
If infected, a Bartholin's gland cyst can form an abscess that will increase in size over several days and is very painful. In order to heal, a Bartholin's gland cyst usually must be drained.
A Bartholin's gland cyst occurs if the duct becomes blocked for any reason, such as infection, injury, or chronic inflammation. Very rarely a cyst is caused by cancer, which usually occurs only in women over the age of 40. In many cases, the cause of a Bartholin's gland cyst is unknown.
Symptoms of an uninfected Bartholin's gland cyst include a painless lump on one side of the vulva area (most common symptom) and redness or swelling in the vulva area.
- Don't worry it is totally normal and happen to a lot of virgins/non virgins.

It sounds like it is most likely some sort of skin problem, but I would go to a doctor with it, possibly a gynecologist but also possibly a dermatologist.

I'm a guy and guys can get irritations not totally unlike yours. The chemistry around that area is a bit different for males and females.

It sounds like it could be a kind of boil or pimple, and I don't think it sounds life-threatening, but it could get in the way of any future sex life you may be contemplating. I'd get it checked out.

It could just be a gland that has become blocked and then purged itself. It happens. You may just ned to be a little more hygenic and wear underpants that breathe. Pure cotton when you are going to do a lot of exercise or it is really hot. It doesn't really matter what you do to keep the area clean it is always going to be a hotbed of germs. Must have been a man that designed the human body for who else would put a recreation area right between waste disposal centres lol.

Its probably a "Bartholins gland cyst". You can google it for more info.

Sometimes one of the glands gets plugged up and fluid builds up inside (kind of like a zit). If it does not "pop" on its own and gets painful, your doctor can puncture it with a scalpel and relieve the pressure.

For now, keep the area clean and dry. Blow dry down there on a COOL setting. I don't need to explain what happens if you use the hot setting... Don't wear restrictive clothing most of the time. Tight jeans are the worst... During workouts avoid spandex and wear loose sweats and cotton panties. It may not be sexy, but its healthy.

I agree with the poster who said it sounds like a Barthelon's Cyst. It tends to recur in some women unless completely removed, cyst wall and all. They can also be very painful and become huge. Go visit your gynecologist to see if they recommend removal or some other kind of treatment. Soaking in "Bath Therapy" (the green salts) can be soothing.

See your gynie or GP right away for an answer to this. They are really the only ones that can diagnose this for you. It could be anything from an infected/blocked sweat gland to something far more serious.

Could be a cyst. That is a sebaceous cyst, from a blocked hair follicle. Being a "virgin" I doubt it is herpes, if you are telling the truth. Just get it checked. No biggie!
