how come married women lose their sex drives after awhile? like when they're 40 and older. if their husbands still want to make love to them shouldnt they feel sexy cause their husband still wants them after all those years?
does this happen to all women? i hope it never happens to me.

women' s peak starts at their forties, their libidos pop up.regarding "some"married women, could be the stress of daily life, taking care of husband,children,job,relatives,friends..a lot of things.being with the same man who doesnt offer much of an excitement either, well, what do you think?
actually, women in their forties are pre-menopausal,their hormones start to get mixed up,this is the time that their sex drive ,and urge is more, cos of more experience, she is more relaxed now, kids are grown up,career is at a secure level, she is financially secure etc.she knows what she wants in life and men,she craves fun ,adventure and satisfaction in and out of bed.so don't get worried my dear,if i were you, wait til you hit your forties, and u will surely know.i know,i am now at that phase in my life....

Yeah...this is akward...
But actually, my mother is 40 and I don't think she's lost it. After her divorce she still dates but told me that she doesn't do anything not because she doesn't have the drive but because she's insecure about her body. It's total crap because my mom looks about 10 years younger than her age and has had some enhancement in the chest area...haha.. anyways, I think most women just don't feel as sexy as they did 20 years ago, and need a good ego boost from their partners.

Sweetie...you have it backwards....womens sex drives actually increase when they approach and pass 40. Maybe its more of an issue of having too many irons in the fire. Raising children (if she had them in her early-mid twenties) then they are teens (thats stress and work). If she has a job, aging parents, bills for the kiddies braces, house and car payments...ect...she is probably too pooped at the end of the day to party. Is hubby still making himself attractive too? or is the "beer belly" and comb over starting to take over?

Stress from working, raising kids, taking care of household chores, getting no help from the husband. That is one cause. Another is menopause. Really plays with the hormones in a bad way.

Because maybe they need to spend a little more time on themselves, if you don't look after yourself, how can you look after the family. Does the husband help the wife out??? Maybe the wife is worn out???

I'm 47 and my sex drive is stronger than ever. Unfortunately, I'm divorced.... and ..... oh how frustrating! LOL

I don't think it's age. It's about the relationship.

Best Wishes,

Sue

I am 43, sometimes yes & sometimes no; its a hormone thing when you are in your 40's, it can be either way.

As you may not be able to control your sexual urges now, because of your body make up.........It's very logical to understand how older women's body changes can affect their sexual urges as well. And believe it or not, there IS more to life than sex.
