You'll get to visit a new place and meet new people. Everything depends on what part of the country you're visiting. There will be something interesting to do where ever you go.
If you are from the EU there is a reciprocal agreement on health-care. Otherwise you must get medical insurance as you won't meet the residency qualifications for health care.

Didn't say where you are from but it will be cold. Whitby, coastal town James Cook sailed from there.York, old roman town, Minster (cathedral), city walls to walk round. Have fun.
