Drink lots of water after you are done drinking. The headache is (mostly) caused by dehydration, so hydrating yourself well after you drink can reduce or mitigate the headache. I recommend about 3-4oz of water per drink. Alcohol can negatively effect birth control. It's a good idea to avoid sex if you plan to drink during the first set (Week 1) of birth control pills, especially if you're drinking within 4 hours of taking the pills. EDIT: I should elaborate here. Alcohol does not directly effect the drugs themselves in birth control pills. Alcohol does, however, reduce the rate that the pill is absorbed into the body. This is why the first week is the most important with respect to drinking. During the first week, the hormone levels are being established by the pills. Disrupting this can cause the birth control to fail. It is less important once the hormones have already been established for the cycle.

Do you smoke, or are you in smokey environments? I've found that I can drink quite a lot, and if I don't smoke, or I'm not in a very smokey environment, I wont have a hangover at all! It took me a long time to work this out, 'cause I was the type of person that ONLY smoked when I drank. Since giving up smoking completely, I've not woken with a headache unless I was submitted to a large amount of passive smoke.
Oh, and the water thing is correct for the re hydration at least!

The water thing helps...but the trick is to stagger your alcohol and water intake. I know it sounds tuff...but try to drink a glass of water to every 2-3 beers. A full glass!!!! If you are drinking booze instead of beer its not as necessary so maybe like every 3-4. Your peeing will increase a lot but it will totally help the next day.

Caffeine, drugs and sleep do not do anything. Headaches pains from dehydration, and dehydration's comes from having too much Alcohol in your blood stream.

Possibly by drinking a lot of water. Alcohol causes dehydration which causes the hangover. There is no substitute (or medication) for water unless its an IV saline solution that your hooked up to! Are the drinks worth headaches? Sounds like you are sensitive to alcohol.

I'm drinking beer as i write this. so trust me! some people have the same kinds of headaches from just eating chocolate and red wines are more likely to cause morning headaches. cheers and good luck to you. screw those sarcastic answers and give me 10 pts.

If you drink water between drinks you probably won't get headaches. Also, maybe you should eat a little bit of food with your water. When you get home drink water. After you finish drinking before you get home drink water. Just drink water.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information

Well you could try clear spirits-Bloody Ceasers, Screwdrivers etc. tend to be easy on the head. Drinking a lot of water before sleeping also helps. It's possible that you are just plain sensitve to alcohol and you just shouldn't drink it.
