I have had all three of my dogs groomed at a local PetSmart and they did a great job. I found a groomer and bather brusher that I liked the best and you can request that particular one to do your dog without an extra charge.
One time I had a dog bathed and it wasn't a great job. But PetSmart stands behind their guarantee of quality work. If it had been a poor job I know I could have gotten store credit or had the dog re-groomed. But it wasn't a poor job, just not as good as the the groomer I like to request does it. My experience has been excellent job. They even brush their teeth with a disposable toothbrush!

I love taking my dog there. They do a great job of bathing her and brushing her! I picked her up yesterday, and they had put these little bows behind her ears. She looked so adorable!! My dog is a German shepherd mix and she sheds a LOT!!! WHenever I take her to Petsmart for a bath and brushing, she looks so sleek and her fur is so soft and smooth. They brush all the loose hairs from her.
My dog weighs about 70 pounds... for a simple bath and brushing, plus tax, I paid about thirty dollars. I think weight of dog plays into price.
How long it takes really depends on how busy they are. I'd say the average amount of time is about 3 hours... You drop the dog off, then they call you when the dog is ready to be picked up... Also, you need to call ahead and make an appointment. I live in a large city with many Petsmarts, and they all stay pretty busy.
I love the job they do on my dog... and it beats the tar out of washing her at home and then having to clean out what becomes a fur-lined bathtub.

I went one time and did not have a fantastic experience. I have a poodle and at the time he was only 9 weeks old, and didn't have much a hair and no mats and things like that. i payed $43 for the little guy and i think it made him afraid of the blower dryer or anything that blows air. Oh yeah and it took 3 hours, he was just a little puppy who needed a hair cut and his hair ended up being a little botchy. I found a local groomer who does i from her home a she does everything that Petsmart does and for only $25 and when i took him for that hair cut he was like 4.5 months old and his haircut was so clean and even. With petsmart the price and time all depends on the breed of the dog.

I've had my pets groomed at petSmart. I feel they do a good job and it's really reasonable. My Grandmother even takes her dog in every other week to be groomed there. The price isn't bad, but as far as if they do a good job, it all depends on your standards and the people they've hired there.

A friend of mine has used PetSmart grooming facilities and was very happy. You have to have an appointment, I think. Check with the store and they can tell you all you need to know about it.
Good luck.

i haven't personnally had anything with my dog done there but i have seen that they do a good job. i guess it would depend on the animal how long it would take them to get finished. i don't think they could handle my rotti. so i do all that myself excpet the clipping i have that done at my vets while i sit on her.

It took only about an hour. There were other animals there too. It was very affordable and the staff was so nice.
