does prednisone have stroids uin it and does it have any effects that regular steroids would have? and if you worked out while taking it, would it work like regular steroids and boost muscle mass mor quickly?

Prednisone is a steroid yes. It is a strong one and usually used to assist someone with a chest infection to schuck it off. I have taken it on many occasions.

no predinsone where having side effects are coristeroids not anabolic steriods which build muscle mass. Prednisone should used with caution as it can slow healing processes after surgery for many months after you stop taking it. Now for me I get some mood changes. At times by third day I feel like a cross between God and the Wicked Witch of the West. But these side effects vary from person to person. Talk with your doctor and pharmacist. Go check you meds at a site like webmd.com. Be informed. Like all drugs prednisone works wonders but can also cause problems. You need to talk with your doctor and weigh the benefits vs. the side effects. Perhaps if they are too much for you to manage other drugs may be effective. Hope this helps. Happy Holidays

Prednisone does have steroids in it but I have taken prednisone for years and haven't seen any bulking up yet (ok, for a while my cheeks got fat but I don't think that's what you're looking for here.)

They are different steroids. Completely different! I give the steroids to my child for asthma and she's tiny and did not grow hair in strange places.
Steroids can be used to shrink inflammation - which is prednasone or cortisone. Anabolic steroids would be used to create muscle mass.

if you don't have to take prednisone stay away from it, it is a very long lasting drug with some very bad side affects
