We believe Jesus (pbuh) was a prophet of God just like Moses (pbuh) or Abraham (pbuh).

We believe in his virgin birth, we believe he performed all of his miracles in the name of God and with the guidance of God.

We believe he spent 3 days in hell .......... we believe he ascended to Heaven

We don't believe he was crucified ........we believe God replaced Jesus' (pbuh) body with a same looking man

We believe Mary (may Allah be pleased with her) is the example of pious woman and she will be the Queen of all women in Heaven

Jesus (pbuh) is waiting in Heaven right now for a time to come when he will return and unie us in one religion - islam

We also believe in Anti-Christ (Djelal) and we know that God will send Jesus (pbuh) back to fight him ..... by love of course

We follow Jesus' (pbuh) teachings of unconditional love

By the way, Qur'an talks more about Jesus (pbuh) than about Muhammed (pbuh) - Resulullah is mentioned by name only 4 times in Qur'an

I hope this helps u to understand

We practically believe in everything u do .......... we just don't believe in the concept of Holy Trinity or of Jesus' (pbuh) divinity

We hold that Jesus (pbuh) was an ordinary man in the sense that he was not God. We do hold him above other men though, as we do all the prophets (pbuta). You are right in saying that he performed miracles, but he did so through God's power and permission. Look to Moses for example, he performed miracles as well: he split the sea. Joseph could predict the future through dreams. This does not mean they were not men, does it? As for Jesus' birth, again you are right in saying that he was born without a father. Allah created Jesus without a father just as he created the first living things. Adam had no father, or even a mother. Does that make him God? Why would God have a child with a human if God is not human? Monotheism has no roots in Greek Mythology. Hercules did not speak Aramaic.
Hope I helped.

If any of you have studied the bible in the catholic sense you will know,(though maybe not understand) the holy trinity,Jesus is the son of God,but part of the whole, along with the holy spirit ,so unless you have read and understood the concept ,how can you possibly comment on it with any knowledge. This of course applies to comments on any religion, understand what you are talking about.

Jesus was a normal man, that is why three wise men followed a star to his birth place, and were the wise men of the Islamic faith, because Christianity had yet to be started, NO, because the Islamic faith was started 500 years later!

As an atheist, can I just say that the ferocity that everyone gives their BELIEFS as though it is fact is laughable. You are all basing these beliefs on books written by machiavellian forces, and fronted by religious nutters - the type of which are still seen regularly today. The only difference is, today, they wouldn't get away with calling themselves a 'prophet' or 'son of god' because the common-sense of the general public would see through their 'holier than thou' crap. 'Adam and Eve' might have been a believable story thousands of years ago to illustrate the beginning of man, but now it is evidently just plain nonsense.

Normal man, if we ever say that, means he was a human being, just like other human beings. But we never mean Jesus is inferior. No. He was one of the mightiest prophets of Islam. Qur'an speaks a lot about him (pbuh). Our belief about Jesus can be summed up in the following points:

1. We Muslims love Jesus & respect him as a major and mighty prophet of Islam.
2. We also love the mother of Jesus, the Virgin Mary. We believe she was a pious and noble woman chosen over all of the women of the world.
3. Muslims believe that Jesus was born miraculously of a virgin mother and no father. His birth is miraculous like the birth of Adam, the first human being, who was created with neither mother nor father.
4. Muslims do not believe that Jesus was the son of God. God is so powerful and self-sufficient that He does not need a son or any kind of partner.
5. In Arabic Bible the name for God is Allah. Therefore all Arab Christians call God Allah as Muslim do as well.
6. Jesus did not die on the cross. Rather, God saved him as his enemies were confused about him. Jesus was taken up by God to Heaven.
7. Jesus is called Isa (pronounced Eesa) in Arabic.
8. Jesus performed miracles by the Will of God, like healing the blind and those with leprosy.
9. Jesus prayed to the same God as all Prophets and we Muslims pray to.
10. Jesus will return before the end of the world to kill Dajjal (Anti-Christ) and bring back peace.

Normal meaning not divine.

Yes, his birth was a miracle.
He performed miracles by the grace of Allah, but had no powers himself.

Jesus(as) was not a normal man. he was a prophet.

***this is the way we look at it. there is a metaphor that many Muslims use to say that God is like the sun. we can't look at Him or truly know what He is on our own. just like one cant look directly at the sun without harming one's eyes.

but the Prophets(as) are like the moon. they are blessed with the ability to reflect the sun's light and show us who God is and tell us of his will. and although they do reflect God's message to the people they are not God... just as the sun is not the moon

peace to all,
