Why the assumption that everyone prays? Or that everyone has some need to pray?

That quote "there are no athiests in foxholes" isn't a law. It isn't even accurate. I have been in deep troubles, even thought for sure I was going to die once, and didn't automatically convert. I didn't invoke the name of any god or gods. I didn't pray.

"There are no athiests in foxholes." which means essentially that soldiers who claim to be athiests are usually caught praying or crying out to god when under some sort of attack. There are no true athiests just people pretending to not believe in God because we all know there are no athiests in foxholes."

I will fail to change the minds of humans because they say "people believe what they want to believe" and "people think they know all the answers". "You can lead a human to light but you can't make him see what he doesn't want to see". sometimes what you perceive is not what you see. Without God you are no more then a worthless entity that eats sleeps and relieves himself but with God your life has meaning. With God you are special! Without God there is no moral guidance and no reason to be moral.

Don't believe that, Atheists don't pray. A soldier seriously wounded in action calls for his mother 99 times out of 100 not to god.

You should check out where that quote comes from. Then you should check out the number of atheistic people who have been in foxholes and read their responses to it.

Maybe something like the man that was out hiking and saw a giant "Bigfoot" coming towards me. He calls out "God, save me from the Bigfoot".

A rumble is heard from Heaven, then "I thought you didn't believe in Me"?

The Atheist replies: 'I didn't believe in "Bigfoot" either until 5 minutes ago.'

Why do you think its necessary for people to pray to anything? I admire people who are strong enough to be their own person, and are in control of their own life.

I cannot understand why some people think you cant live life without worshiping something.
