The authority is in the Holy Books. All the things written in there are high and powerful truth. Man lives based on those teachings for centuries, and the whole world is becoming more and more civilized. No philosophers, no men of wisdom, no scholars can write anything more true, beautiful and good. And the most distinguished point is the perfect love of all the Messengers of the One True God. History books have retold all these things.

I have faith in God and it is not blind faith, I know he is there and he is the answerer of prayers, I know this from experience because he has answered my respectful prayers on many occasions, even before I came to have faith in him! That is why I am where I am today not because of being smart or clever, but because of God's mercy,his love,and grace! yes there is an authority in my religion, the authority that God put in charge of my religion and that authority lies with Jesus is that authority over my congregregation that I belong to.

I have faith in humankind. I dont need religious authority in my life. My hope is that people can be freed from the shackles religion imposes on them. Im not talking about the west more places where there is only one ruling religion and those who do not fall in line suffer.

I think that people get so caught up in religion that they misplace their faith. It gets put into churches and pastors and causes that they forget the reason behind it all is Christ. And that is where the focus needs to be. Church is important, but it should be the end celebration of what you live all week long.

It does seem odd that, however is god, would have created things in such away that people would be making up new religions faster than they make up new spaghetti sauce recipes.
As to "authority" - I am still waiting for someone to come forth with evidence and proof.

Christian is the name of my religion. God is the person I have a relationship with and receive my salvation from. He is my authority
