Ok, here's the deal... I'm 24. I met this guy 1 month ago. He is 37. We clicked... started dating... Have only went 1 day without seeing each other. We do everything together. I was having alot of personnal problems, he helped me get through them. He's wonderful! He's by far, my best friend. Well, now I'm going through a hairy custody battle. My lawyer advised us not to have him around my daughter when she is with me (on weekends). He totally understands and keeps his distance. He'll call several times a day to check in or to see if I need anything. He is just 150% understanding... I love him with all of my heart!! My question... How do I show him how much his love and understanding means to me? I've never had anyone show me this much care and respect. I tell him that I love him and I thank him for his support but I don't feel like that is enough. Any ideas or things I could do??? Please help me..... Thanks!

We've went to dinner, spent nights together, I've given him several 'small' possessions, loved him unconditionally, gave him 'special' back/body rubs... I just don't know how to express my love to him fully.... He says he's in love with me... has even asked me to marry him... He's my true love - I'm sure of that... I'm just clueless when it comes to showing feelings and expressing my love... and gratitude

So far everything you've said has been all about you. What about him? every body has issues. when you can take a breath, make sure you are there for him in the same way. can you do that? that's how you pay it forward.

Ideally, you would love to find out his favourite sport or hobby and buy tickets and take him but if finances dont permit this then find out his favourite food and drink (champagne maybe), get a babysitter for the night and invite him around for a special home cooked meal that you make. Dont forget dessert!! When he asks why you went to all the effort or "whats all this for", just say, " i wanted to show you, really how much I appreciate you, Thankyou". This could be done over a candlelit dinner and maybe watch his all time fav movie with him afterwards - even if you hate it!!!! He will appreciate this and its incredibley romantic!!

Continue an active friendship with him until he needs you. I had a 52 year old friend and I helped him through a tough marriage breakup and he helped me through a tough legal problem afterward. Just keep watching each others back.

how about more time apart? 1 month is kind of short to be so emotional.
