It is a place where a collective group of people get to learn an abundant of things - facts, general knowledge, analytical skills, social interaction. Because one gets to meet a lot of people with many differences and similarities, it is also a place where one gets the opportunity to experience different perspectives - if one keeps an open mind.

Consider that throughout history, slaveowners would not allow slaves to be educated. If people are illiterate and uneducated, they cannot read or be exposed to ideas about liberty and freedom. So keeping them from a good education is a way to keep them enslaved.
Slaves have risked their lives in the past to be taught reading and writing. Yes, kids today complain about going to school!
Why is school important? So the educated pupil can remain FREE!
Best Wishes,
Sue

School is important in many ways.
First off, you learn things that you need to know for your future. You will be prepared and not be some f*cking b*tch that doesnt know that TVs run on electricity.
Second of all, you have human interaction. You learn to make friends. As you grow, you learn how to trust and what to do. You learn this mainly from the transition of Middle to High. You learn how to deal with people, have feelings for them. And learn how to deal with a relationship of the opposite gender.
Finally, as years go by, you learn what life is really about...

but the one thing that realllllly knocks me off is homework...rawr.

You learn a lot of things academically, socially, and life skills. Stuff that you won't get from homeschool or not going to school at all.

It's possible to pay lots of time and income searching for methods to teach your young ones how to learn and improve their reading skills. Is hard to show a tiny child how to learn, and actually attractive them to see is a challenge in itself. But it does not have to be like that as you got the help of the program https://tr.im/Bnq7T , Children Learning Reading program.
With Children Learning Reading you can train your child how to separate sounds and separate words into phonemes, a vital issue whenever your kid is just learning how to spell.
The studying program from Children Learning Reading program allows you for kids to read easily and precisely, from easy phrases to phrases till they learn to see stories.

and on top of that, ill use istory for example.
i my self, hate history, (i forget what happened last week, let along 1000 years ago, lol) but, if people donlt learn history, then were doomed to repeat it....

Use and Importance of the School
This subsection considers usage of the school now and in the past by parents, residents and teachers in the case studies. It also addresses stages in lives when the school is important to them. As well it looks at their usage and importance of facilities in their area and the overall importance of the school in their Jives,
Use of the School Now
All parents and teachers, and most residents (14 of 18) use the schools.
All parents from all schools mention their families or themselves using the school for one or some of the following purposes.
* Education for their children
* Sports in general
* Swimming in particular
* Attending or participating in school activities and functions (for example Board of Trustees and working bee activities at Te Kawa, ski trip at Southburn, social functions at the ball in Mangakahia, and the Maori support group and college ball at Piopio)
* Assisting with educational activities (for example parent help with reading and maths and voluntary assistance at Te Kawa, music and Board meetings at Piopio)
* Using school grounds and facilities.
Use of the photocopier by the community was mentioned at both primary schools, as was use of night classes and library facilities at the Colleges. One family at each district of Te Kawa and Mangakahia and Piopio had a member that was employed at the school.
Residents in general use it less frequently than parents because they do not now use the school for educating their children. However common usage by residents included sports and swimming, attending school functions, using community facilities (library and ball), using school grounds, for employment and social visits. Computer and photocopying facilities are also used along with the school as a polling booth.
Teachers primarily use the school as a place of work. Some use it to educate their children and attend night classes. Computers and photocopiers were used by many teachers for non-school purposes. School grounds and facilities were used especially swimming pools. Some teachers also advised or coached non-school groups or teams. Some teachers use the school for meetings and community events, and for hiring equipment.
Use of the School in the Past
Most parents, residents and teachers have used the school in the past.
Twenty of 23 parents used the school in the past and usages has changed for some especially because of new facilities and courses.
At Te Kawa improvements and/or new facilities including the photocopier, microwave, computer and TV have meant many changes in usages. Also the school has won $2,000 of books from a Read-athon competition and been given a book as a trophy. All these facilities, as well as the playground and pool, have been used.
At Southburn some parents had not used the school in the past. Others were involved in the Board of Trustees and are more aware of educational and community issues than before due to their involvement. At Mangakahia previous use included going to manual classes, involvement in the Playcentre, night classes, using the community centre and going to Access courses. However at Piopio additional night classes, extension of facilities and the community-based status of the ball, library and swimming pool have increased usage in recent years. One parent from each of the districts of Piopio, Southburn and Mangakahia was an ex-pupil of the school.
All residents except one used the school in the past. Most used it when their children were there and comments reflect some of their involvement at that time.
At Te Kawa usage included attendance and participation in sporting and social functions, parent help, school committee and Board of Trustees work and voting. At Southburn two used school facilities and attended social occasions, one used the photocopier and another was on the school committee and PTA. At Mangakahia all had sent their children there previously. Other uses included sporting and social occasions, night classes; library; judging and tutoring, working bees, craft days and involvement on the school committee and PTA. Of the five resident households for Piopio, three used the school the same now as in the past except one now uses the library more. One is an. ex-pupil and another did not use the school as the family had recently moved to the area.
Of the teachers, past uses centred around sporting facilities especially the swimming pool at Southburn; Mangakahia and Piopio. Teachers at Mangakahia also used the playcentre.
Stages of Life that the School is Important
Respondents were asked at what stage or stages is the school important to them, Respondents overall indicated the school has a place of importance in their lives when they worked there and/or when their children and grandchildren were educated there.
The school is important to all parents during the time their children are in attendance at school. It is important for those who work at the school. At Te Kawa and Southburn the school is recognised as an important introduction when people first arrived in the district. Preschool facilities located at Mangakahia School are important to young families in the district.. At Piopio the school is recognised as important as it is a source of employment in the area.
The school has been important to 13 (of 18) residents at the stage when their children attended or now with their grandchildren there. For two resident families their children are yet to attend and they expect the school will be very important at that stage. For the other three, one moved to the area after their children's' college education and for the other two the question does not apply. A comment at Southburn indicates the presence of the school is important for farms in the district.
For 14 teachers the school is important during their work life and their children's and grandchildren's education. For the other six, the question was not asked.
