It is true Kim Jong il has some issues. (Very serious issues) He is definitely a man to be feared. He has his country locked down from getting outside information by having jammers, etc. He puts all the countries resources towards it's military and the country suffers due to this. I can't say how much the country suffers, but you only hit the tip of the ice burg with what you wrote.

I really feel sorry for the people there. It is hard for me to comprehend how they have lived under those conditions for so long and not rebelled, but then I haven't had to live the life they have. (Work camps, starvation, a few hours of electricity a day, etc) Boils down to living in constant fear. Hopefully, one day their country will not be under his or his sons control (which are even scarier).

You forgot to mention experimenting with biological weapons on political prisoners, people born with defects, this includes having a chinese parent, dwarves (that is that don't wear elevator shoes and poofy hairdos like he does) and anyone else he orders. Which is what he should be, one well placed bullet could help prevent the spread of nukes and ballistic missiles, or at least slow them down. There are all kinds of little mysteries like the recently taken over Thailand being an overland smuggling route for North Korea (oh gee, what's the name of that country in between?) and the supposedly empty brand new Iranian cargo ship boarded by Indian authorities when just making a "practice run" back from North Korea. He is possibly the most cruel dictator on earth next to Saddam Hussein, but the democrats want to have tea and cookies with him. He was counterfeiting US currency and money laundering when his accounts in the USA were frozen. If China didn't support his country it would collapse, so we should threaten China with tarriffs if they don't get their mad attack dog under control. This nuke problem has been going on since at least 1979, just like the Iran mess, and who was that President, I think the name started with "C"? Oh yeah, the one that gave away the Panama Canal which is now leased to China. And just who are they going to use those biological weapons on? I know that if any of their weapons are used against us by anyone, the first result should be to smack down jim kong, and if he goes into a deep bunker, bury him alive in it and pipe in sewage.
