Over time, mine fields have a tendency to hurt a lot of innocent people as well as those they are intended for.
While I do think we need to find a way to contol the border, this is not the way to do it. Wanting a better life for yourself and your family may break our laws, but surely is not evil enough to deserve death!
The Bible speaks of mercy. God gives us grace and mercy for our sins. Should we who also have sinned, do less?

Now that's cold - real cold.
I gather from your question that you have about had it up to your ears with the illegal invasion of our country? However, I think that your suggestion would run into a great deal of opposition.
Snipers and machine gun towers make considerably more sense - that way, no American citizens would be accidentally killed or maimed by errant mines :)

Just build a 15 meters height fence and that's it. They will never jump it, and no one will get hurt ;) Your idea of the "minefield" is really sick!

As much as I'm against illegal aliens entering this country, I'm very much against booby-traps.
Yes, even if they have guns (which they often do), and yes, even if they have the upper hand with Border Patrol.

That would be a bad thing, we are above those tactics, even though the Mexican s will kill people entering their southern boarders.We need to just enforce the laws we have out their already.
