You'll never be able to prove or disprove psychics. Why? Because it doesn't work all the time. You can't turn it on and off like a light. No psychic can.

Trust me, you don't want to know what I know. It always sucks when I get a vision or a "dream" because it means that within the next two hours, someone is going to die. Thing is, it's impossible to tell if it's a dream or my imagination or if it's real. Until it's too late.

You REALLY don't want to know about what thats like. Especially when it's someone you love thats in the vision and dies within the next couple hours.

Find some material by James Randi... He's made it his life's work to debunk psychics and other phenomena. He's the one that showed the world that Uri Geller was a fraud.

Another thing you can do is research a technique called cold reading. Most so called psychics use this technique to get their information. One of the most famous practitioners of cold reading is the TV psychic John Edwards.

The best way to 'prove" anything is by systematic research, testing. Get a psychic and a non-psycic (but someone who knows how to predict what will probably happen) and have them compete for accuracy of prediction. Ask students to consider scientific method and set up experimental conditions. Try it for prayer too. You might also do some lottery tests.

James Randi has offered a million dollar prize to any "psychic" who could prove they have paranormal abilities..not only has no one came close in the years that have gone by, but few even take the test.

You can offer evidence which suggests "psychic" events are misattributed to special powers, but there is also evidence of precognition, people having mysterious knowledge of events without witnessing them or being told about them, and simultanity which is next to impossible to explain.

If you want to prove that many so called psychics are frauds, there is a wealth of examples that prove that.

You could talk about some instances of things that are counter-intuitive, such as the Earth being a sphere vs. flat, to illustrate why it's important to consider things from a critical perspective.

It is very difficult to prove a negitave. If a person is not psychic how do you prove it. On the other hand if they are then they themselves could prove that they are. You have me stumped on this one.

Good Luck
