When they are BOTH blinking, it means the battery is exhausted and you need to replace or recharge the batteries. I have several Nikon point and shoot cameras and this is right from the manual, so please ignore those who are speculating. Just chage the batteries.

Get it checked from the dealer or NIKON authorised shop Most probably that is a software problem and you need to get new software uploaded. Some Nikon cameras have this problem and new software should fix it.

check the batteries. They could be weak or be in incorrectly. Also it may zoomed out too far and cannot focus. Try these and see if either works. Good luck.
