Actually, in a sense, He was. He did something that He probably knew would cause a scene and cause Himself a lot of public embarrassment.

But He put aside the consequences that He would suffer personally, and did the right thing.

There are lots of times where we are challenged to do the right thing in public -- but often, we are just too timid.

In the temple-cleansing episode, Jesus teaches us a lesson in doing the right thing even in the face of public scorn -- which is definitely an act of humility.

Humility had nothing to do with it, it's called righteous anger.

What would you do if a bunch of idiots decided to open a flea market on your fathers front lawn? Would you go and "clean house" or stand in all humbleness and beg them to depart?

Yeah, thought so :)

He was righteously angry. That has nothing to do with being humble. His actions were just since they were defiling the sacred and they knew better.

How do you know that?

And actually he cleansed the temple, not the Church, there was no Church then.

How would you like it if a horde of people started selling lambs, doves, sheep in your house ?
Would you not feel like throwing them all out?
Do you not condemn people who mistreat you? It is good that Christ condemns our wrong actions and gives us time to repent!
He rebukes our wrong behaviour so that we may be disciplined and change our ways before judgement day, when it would be too late.
Christ shows His infinite love and mercy when He disciplines us.

I don't know about humble, but He sure was righteous!

Nope. He was angry and cleared the temple of evil. If you thought He was angry then, wait until He returns. You will see real anger.
