like, when, all included are eating, "yumm, your food is so good, thank you so much" when the meal isnt even half over? like we are all to follow the complement, with our own thanks?

When someone says thank you i feel weird saying thank you right after b/c it seems like i'm just saying thank you b/c the other person did. On the other hand if i don't say thank (and wait later) it makes me seem rude when actually i did it so i wouldn't seem rude so yea it just depends on how we you kno the person your w/

Its being Grateful.

I know its a word not many people are use to now days.
but being grateful for a mean was very important back in the 50s
So saying thank you for the effort made and for the food itself was polite.

I still think it is important today.
