The USA has 300,000,000 in population NOW. We already are struggling to build enough schools, enough water sanitation stations, enough roads, enough apartment buildings, houses and businesses. Our forests and farmlands are giving way to development, our waterways are becoming polluted as well as our air. What will it be like when our population doubles, or triples or worse? California, TODAY, has to build one elementary school every DAY in order to keep up with their growing population. Is this the world you want to leave your children, your grandchildren?

romanov - I completely agree with those countries using mandatory birth control. Americans have used birth control since, at least the 1950's. We started using the 'pill' in the '60's to curb population, and what did we get for not having so many babies? 800,000 immigrants a year to make what we did null and void. Not only are there more people here, there are less and less natural born Americans, because WE took the 'pill'. We were encouraged to have 2 babies to keep the population in check and to be able to provide for those two better than having 4 or 5 who we couldn't provide as well for. Those countries DESPERATELY need to use birth control.

Erik B - Dude, you are totally clueless. We went from 170,000 immigrants per year between 1920 and 1965, from 1965 to 1980 it jumped to 400,00, from 1980 to today it has gone to 800,000 immigrants per year. Those people will multiply, some will die. Even when you subtract the deaths of all the population of the USA the numbers will be staggering. TRIPLE what it is now. With our already dwindling water supply, water sanitation stations that can't be built fast enough, air pollution, urban sprawl, farmlands and forests giving way to development, cities being overcrowded, congested highways, highways that can't be built fast enough, overcrowded schools, schools can't be built fast enough~ what do you think the USA will be like in 40 years? Did you watch the video? It is quite an eye-opener.

sievocal - my you are so cynical. This is an 'immigration' issue. Not an illegal immigration issue. They say "ignorance is bliss". Are you feeling blissful?

the man was demonstrating how the immigrants (in the red) along WITH the population already here (in the green) will push this country into such a high number that our natural resources will not be capable of sustaining them all, our infrastructure will fail, we won't be able to build the necessary schools, water santitation stations, hospitals, roads, housing, etc. fast enough to keep up. California already can't keep up with the burgeoning population there. The entire USA is headed to where CA is NOW. What will CA be like THEN? No one will want to live here. We will just be another third world country, unless we reduce all immigration to a controllable, sustainable number. I'm not, nor have I ever been anti-IMMIGRATION, but I AM anti-immigrant. We want immigrants, but, we need to reduce the numbers.

Who was it that said something like "You can feed a man a fish and that would take away his hunger for a day, but if you teach a man to fish, he can feed himself for a lifetime." The problem can't be solved by moving people between point A to B, but rather by teaching them how to help themselves through education....

No. Immigration is not the answer. Allthough if a person's children were starving I can see why anyone would want to leave the situation. Education on water clarification, farming, and freedom of choice would be the best answers. The question for the world community is how much of our time, money, and resources are we, as the richest country in the world willing to give? As a nation, a community, or individuals? And often as painful as the choices may be (as in limiting immigration), we are also forced to make a choice as to how our effort's will effect our country, and OUR childrens future. In trying to make the entire world a better place for all are we sacraficing our way of life or bettering it?

So now it's not just against illegal immigration, but immigration from any third world country. And then you deny it's not about discrimination. Just remember that third world is a situation created by superpowers.. cough... USA GOVERNMENT.. cough.

Also notice in the video that the red part says IMMIGRANTS AND DESCENDANTS. Those descendants will be native born AMERICANS. What the guy is saying that probably most of the population WILL stop being white and that's what he's afraid of.

China has 1.6 billion people and is destined to be the largest economy in the world by 2018. This is nothing but nativism. I saw two techniques commonly used in statistics being applied in this video:

1) He puts the immigrants in RED, red represents danger or harmfulness.
2) Read carefully, it says IMMIGRANTS AND DESCENDANTS. So that would include all the American children born from those immigrants.

The only solution to povrety is an effective - NON CORRUPT governement, then poverty can be tackled but dont get your hopes up it will not be resolved within 20yrs - leaving the country is not gona help, who will rebuild the economy if there is nobody, and every one is in the USA, NZ CAN or AUS ENG ???
Look at the destruction and creation of poverty ZIM for example 20yrs ago could sustain itself, it had everything, it was the most progressive country in Africa, then a corrupt madman (uncle Bob Mugabe) took over, look where it is now - how long do you think it will take to rebuild that country ?????
The saying "You can feed a man a fish and that would take away his hunger for a day, but if you teach a man to fish, he can feed himself for a lifetime." is here changed to "You can feed a man a fish and that would take away his hunger for a day, but if you teach a man to fish, he will be gone for the w/e" and we are back to square one !!
Children are born here and nearly immediatly a begging bowl is placed in their hands and is placed on lap of mom, The only way up is work work work work from the bottom up !!!! Help yourself and heaven will help you ! But everything must come up from the top governement and a non corrupt one !

Relax. Population in both the US and the world is supposed to level off and stop growing so rapidly in the next few decades if current trends continue. The US population will not double.

Does emigration from third world countries solve the problem of poverty there? Nope. But, usually, it solves the problem of poverty for the immigrant who comes to the US. Sometimes they send money back to relatives in their home country, but some say that this isn't a good thing, because it becomes an addiction and causes too much reliance on foreign money and not enough reliance on themselves. It also causes inflation in the home country.

Its not just in USA...
I live in SaudiArabia and the foreign workers and their families actually make up more population than the actual Saudi's there in the country.. The roads are overrun with foreigners (who dont know the rules of the roads here by the way).. The traffic is horrible.. If the put a cap on foreigners coming in to work, there wouldnt be such a strain on the countries resources..

The answer to third world population growth is third world infrastructure. They need to restructure their own economies and governments to make citizens want to stay there. America is the land of the free...not the land of the free-loaders. Immigration reform will start to take the hot burner very soon!

The solution to Third World poverty is not allowing a few of them to bail out, but to have them stay where they are and built the economy there, to benefit as many of their people as possible. Not just a relative few who make it into our lifeboat.

Personally, I hate when i see a picture of a starving woman with a baby hanging off her non-existant breast trying to get milk......they should really put birth control into the rice and flour they feed these people on a mass basis...........any third world country should stop their women from having more babies for gods sake..........the flies on their faces and they are too sick to even brush them off...i mean, come on
