Make it a surprise! Tell her you are giving her a shower and to register but tell her the wrong date.
Have in all the invites to her guests a recipe card and invite them to put their favorite drink on it (alcohol would be fun, but doesn't have to be) and a "hint" for marriage on the other side (those will be entertaining). If you want the guests to RSVP they can use that and have the book or box made for her and have a select few chose for her to read aloud.
Have the other bridesmaids and/or anyone else helping with the shower make a themed basket for the gifts. (spa, movie night, gardening, bath & body etc...) That way you don't have all those usless dollar store type gifts.
Don't do the silly games that everyone hates... I liked this one... Make a list of like 15 questions about her fiance. Have him answer them without her knowing and make sure he doesn't tell her, maybe ask them the day of so he can't tell her! Questions like favorite color, movie, song, food, music artist, favorite childhood memory, first girl he crushed as a child etc. Then have her try to answer them as he did. You can have the guests guess on how many she will get right. It is amazing how little of these one actually knows and it is fun to see the brides reaction to some of the silly answers.
One thing that is done at most showers now and is absolutley wonderful for the bride is to have everyone fill out their address somewhere - on the thank you envelopes, or a guest book. It is great for thank yous!!
I love giving showers! Those are some of the cute ideas I have right now. Have fun with it!

How about having a cocktail and hordeurve shower and making it an intimate one where couples and invited and it involves lingerie and bathing products or maybe when you make the list up ask the people invited to bring something of a particular color and write a cute poem about the color that pertains to the bride.color coordinate the foods. You could also do a wedding shower of gift cards only, that way she could get cards for grocery stores, drug stores, hardware stores, retail shops, hair cuts, nails, in any denomination, there are so many gift cards available.

This was one activity I thought was very cute. Get a large package of toilet paper and slip up the attendents and friends into four or five groups, giving them a roll or two of toilet paper each.
Ask the bride to leave for ten minutes. In those ten minutes, each group must design a "wedding dress" out of a toilet paper on the model of their choice. Make a skirt, bodice design, etc. Be very creative! Have time to make a veil? Make a veil! After ten minutes, invite the bride back in and send the models down the "runaway." The group that the bride's favourite design win either small party favours or first cut of the cake/dessert.

Try iMemoryBook. Get everyone at the shower to write down a fun memory, gather up some photos and then print a gorgous hardbound book. It is great fun to go back and remember good times.

Have a spa shower. Give each other treatments and give bath bombs or bubble bath as favors. You could also base the shower on where she is going for her honeymoon and gear the food, decorations and games that way. Have fun!
