I manage an accesories store, pierce ears, and train my employees to pierce ears. If your ear is infected, you should remove earrings, but mine did the same thing...I cleaned my ear with antiseptic 3 times a day and drained the puss--my ears were fine in 2 days. DO NOT use rubbing alcohol or soap, you should use antiseptic specifically for ear piercings, Walmart and Claires sell this very cheaply.

See a doctor to get oral antibiotics. Clean it with peroxide, alcohol, or a pierced ear cleaning solution 3 or 4 times a day. Put Neosporin or another topical antibiotic on it after each time you clean it.

NEVER pierce anything yourself again. Have it done in a reputable place that uses state-mandated methods for sterility and safety.

Best Wishes,

Sue

This happens to me all the time jus change the earing to a clean one and clean the other one with the cleanser that you can but at claire or icing or any lace that has earpiercing and I think you might be able to get it at wallgreens too. rubing alcohol should work too but research it first.

If it is draining as you say it is you need to see the doc and get medication for it. The pus type drainage and blood indicates that it is infected and needs to be seen by the doc.
