Yes it is. For the first ninety days. In our eyes, the woman is absolutely perfect and can do no wrong. You may not be talking about the sexual aspect, but it plays a big part.

After 90 days, the things that were so perfect, start showing a few lines. ("Is that all she does is complain?", "Sex is great, but doesn't he ever want to go outside?") That is the reality phase and where a person's mask starts to deteriorate.

The reality phase can last as long as the people want it to. Or they can go to the next phase, true bonding.

Well, uh, I cant remember. I was too busy trying to get sex from her. Now that I get it all the time, it doesn't matter now. Honestly though, nah. You guys are just really ultra sensitive when it comes to the emotional stuff. If your guy is all gushy right now, it is probably because he's not old enough to know that you all really dont care either, it just one of the manipulative tools you guys use as leverage to get the things that you all want, but what we cant afford. But I hope that I answered your question.

of course they we do. its just that it not normal for guys to go on about how amazin a girl may be, or if they are fallin. its normal for us to talk bout how hot she is instead. sad but true. think of it this way, that feeling you get when you are getting to know someone, they are all you can think bout, all you wnat to see, all you wnat to be with. hang on all their words, and cnat wait to see them next. of course guy feel that!
