Yes I do, and they are also stealing our medical services, and getting free food when the rest of us have to work hard for it.

I'll agree with that, for the most part. I will make an exception though that some illegals are stealing jobs from 1st Generation Americans that may be from the same country as the illegals. There's a huge problem in California with many of the legal migrant workers, as well as 1st Generation Americans not being able to get decent work in the fields harvesting produce because many of the jobs are being given to the illegals who will work for very little. As for jobs that other Americans have, who may have been in this country for a long time, I have yet to see in that case an American want to get a job, and couldn't get one because it was being occupied by an illegal, the exception to the rule I already stated above.

Stealing American jobs is not the only problem. Greedy business owner are giving them the jobs knowing that they are illegal. What the INS needs to start doing is throwing such heavy fines that they will not want to hire anyone illegal. For those that claim I will be paying 5 dollars for a head of lettuce. It won't happen, You will pay a little more. However there are people out there that are willing to work they just want to get paid at least the minium wage. If the companies can't find minium wage workers. Then the can send to have imigrants come over legally. Making sure these people pass all the processes required of imigration.

I don't think they're stealing jobs as much as they are ruining the equity of the jobs they are taking.

In the simplest terms, let's say you do a job for $15.00 an hour. What's to say that an illegal alien wouldn't offer to do it for $7.00? What boss wouldn't hire two people for the price of one? An illegal alien is happy making anything.

I guess it doesn't really matter to you if you make minimum wage, because you'll always be guaranteed at least that.

But what happens when you're making $30,000 a year, and a bi-lingual illegal alien will do the same job for $16,000 a year? A fair person would admit that this isn't a fair proposition.

If you think illegals come here with the idea that they'll be doing crappy work that no-one wants to do their whole life, you're mistaken. Once they're here, they try to climb the same corporate ladder many of you have, or will climb.

A fair answer would be that illegal aliens are making our job wages less desirable, and driving down the value of labor.

They don't have to be Mexican to be illegal. They can be any race.

Yes, they are doing jobs for less wages and because of that the American worker can't compete with them. They are also lowering the salaries of the jobs. In the meat market, in construction, etc. these were jobs done by Americans and the pay was good, now it is done by illegals and the salaries are very low and we still pay the same prices for the meat or houses the we buy. In other words the corporations that hired illegals are making big profits with the hiring of illegals. The corporations don't pay fringe benefits , like health insurance or unemployment, social security, taxes, etc. for the illegals and the Americans tax payers have to pay for their health services.

THEY SURE DO/ If the illegals were NOT here the jobs would still get done. The fastfood would still be servered, the lawns would still be mowed, the pools would be cleaned , the meat packing plants would still process meat, the children would still be watched, the homes would still get cleaned. It may cost a little more but the jobs WOULD be done. Maybe some of this stuff would be done by & for us. I was a employer with 131 employess & I hired only LEGAL non americans.I saved a lot of money in the long run on legal fees.

The people who say no to this question aren't facing it in their own lives. My husband is having to look for another job because his company was just bought out by another company notorious for firing anyone who makes over 12 dollars an hour and hiring illegals. Unfortunately, it is happening.. to good hard working people who pay taxes. By the way, my husband works in the oil field.. Thats hardly a job Americans are unwilling to do.

Yes, they are or were. The factory I work at was raided and 68 of them were removed. These are not jobs no one wanted nor were they paid less. Now the jobs are filled with people who said they had a hard time getting hired.

Of course they are. If the illegals weren't doing them then an American would have the job, and at a much better salary.

Absolutely not. Most illegal Mexicans work the jobs that Americans don't want. If they do manage to work their way up into a desired job, well, that can hardly be called stealing if they had to work so hard for it when half the people who wanted that job didn't. California is a huge agricultural state and those people keep our economy from falling apart.

I'm surpised by some who believe Mexicans are taking American jobs by accepting unskilled work for low pay; work that Americans won't do, while no one complains about the well educated Canadians who move to the US in search of more money, working in the highly competetive fields of law, medicine, and engineering, etc. Who's stealing jobs now?
