Geez, the mentality of these answers!
Getting injections for bulging discs is similar to taking pain killers because you have a sore foot. If you then look at the foot and see a 4 inch nail hanging out of it, you're not going to keep popping the pills and leave the nail?Typical doctor's response. Treat the symptoms and not the cause. They want you to keep coming back and spend more money on their subsidised drugs!

The pain persists because that injection was intended to relieve the pain.. the problem continues to exist.. and has not been treated. Symptomatic treatment will not take care of the causation factor.

You have a bulging disc as a result of one vertebra being located on a slant, the one below it slants the other way. Forcing the disc out of the wider opening created by that diverse positioning.

This being the result of a mild to moderate scoliosis. or a change in direction, of the spine itself.

There is an underlying cause creating the need for that scoliosis...

I have bulging or protruding discs as some people call them..
I have had no relief through injections..
I take 2 x 50mg morphine tablets a day and Panamax as needed.
Eventually I will require surgery but I am trying to put that off as long as possible..
Good luck with getting some relief..

Just because they injected you does not mean it will for sure work for you. Not everyone responds the same to all treatments. Since you are not feeling relief you need to call the doc and update him in the morning about the fact that it didn't help. The doc is not a mind reader and doesn't know that the injection didn't help unless you let him know.
