Well you may but is your cousin a professional? Shyness and aspergers are two different things. It is certain that you have some issues with your relatives your cousin could be right, or if your relatives are abusive your cousin could just be playing Dr. at your expense. It is a disorder that stops people from interacting normally within a social setting. That does not mean if you are shy you have it, it means if you demonstrate anti social behavior that is mean , crude or disruptive in a social setting. read about it. http://health.yahoo.com/ency/healthwise/zq1008 If you think you fit the criterai get tested and get help.

It sounds to me like your cousin is just being really rotten to you! If you haven't been diagnosed with asperger's don't worry about it!
Your cousin is picking on you because you are shy. there could be a diagnosis involved, or it could be something you simply have to grow out of.
Tell your parents about this! They should be honest with you if you have been diagnosed with asperger's. It is nothing to be ashamed of. Asperger's is a form of autism. Most people with asperger's are absolutely fine, they just need help with social skills, and an understanding of the asperger's and how their behavior appears to people around them. Asperger's patients are not mean or nasty, they just do not realize how the people around them feel and usually don't notice subtle social cues. They would not know when to stop talking in a conversation, for instance, or how to approach people if they want to start a conversation.
with practice, all of these social problems can be minimized, and the person with asperger's can live a normal life.

Get an answer from your parents or see if they feel you shoudl be evaluated. And if you don't have asperger's stop worrying about what your cousin said!
