Well, history verifies my theology, (Christianity), so I'm not sure how to respond. One supports the other in my case.
EDIT:
History is HIS STORY

History is the study of human behavior over time and Theology is the study of religion.

History is confirmed from either through archeology, direct evidence, lots of indirect evidence etc.

Theology is basically understanding the reasoning behind god, and other religious things.

History is what happened in the past and theology is the study of God or gods.

Why do you ask?

Both history and theology are written by a person who selects a limited amount of information.
Both are written by people who have a personal perspective and personal needs and wants.
Both contain human interpretation of data.
Both are biased.
Both can be revised and re-written.
Neither are useful for much other than fulfilling the needs of the author.

History is about real events that happened and how they happened. Theology is about what God(s) are and how they do. If it is about Gods that nobody believes in any more it is mythology.
