Because the Bible is one long fairy tale.

Do you know of any other books written that long ago that have been independently confirmed? I don't. How would one go about independently confirming it now, this much later? God requires faith. Other than that just take a look around you. Miracles are still happening today.

Who is going to confirm them? The Bible speaks for its self... Jesus is a miracle worker and all things are made possible through the Father " GOD"

The books in the New Testament were added (through cannonization) based on their truth...i.e. the reason why the story about the feeding of the 5,000 was accepted was because during the cannonization, there were people there to say "yeah, it happened, and I know it did because I was there!"

What else do you need?

I am a miracle. I was lost, now I'm found. I was a blasphemer, now I'm a worshiper of the True God. I was a liar, now I'm an honest man. I was a thief, now I'm a generous man. I was a God hater, now I'm a God lover. I hated people, now I love people. I was a drug addict, now I'm sober. I was hopeless, now I'm filled with hope. I was in despair, now I have continual peace and joy. I was a fool, now I am wise. I was fearful, now I have no fear. I was a pervert, now I'm a chaste man. I was blind, now I see. I was born again, by faith in the name of Jesus Christ, who is risen from the dead and wrought ALL of these changes in me; and one day, if the Lord tarries, He will raise me from the dead!

Independently confirmed by whom?

There were many, many eyewitnesses to the miracles of Jesus ...why are you trying to call them all liars?

You really need an education...and certainly
you need to read the Bible to see how the miracles of Jesus turned Jerusalem upside down.

And what would prove to you that they actually happened?

Jesus said, "A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign"
But you should read that quote in context to understand it, Matthew 16:1-4

Because the Bible was written a few hundred after the alleged events occurred.

Because blind faith is proof.

...especially if it's placed in a book written by a bunch of Bronze Age tribesmen with a religious and political agenda.
