I actually liked my Reidell Silver Stars when I was starting out, but as I got more experience, I upgraded to Harlicks.

The brand, and style, of skate you wear is really personal. What fits one person well won't work for another. For example, my feet are really wide, so the Reidells always felt a bit cramped. When I put my feet in Harlicks, even the first time, it was an amazing difference.

You say you love Jackson - why do you love Jackson? Is it how they look, or have you tried on a pair? The most important thing in boots is how they fit. They need to fit well.

So go to your skate pro and talk to him about what brands and styles he'd suggest for your type of feet, your body, your style of skating, and your skating level. Likewise with the blades. If your fitter is an experienced skate pro for figure skates (and not just hockey), then he should be able to tell you what brand would be best, and which model of the Jacksons would be best. Normally, once they measure your feet, they'll pull a couple of pairs, of different brands and models, off their shelves and have you try them. They may also order in a couple of different pairs for you to try. Then, once you decide on one, they'll heat mold it to your feet to make it really fit well.

Risport and Risport Laser are brilliant makes, you can get them in most skate shops. Also the fitter peron will be able to help! I have had tmy skates since February, only sharpened once aswell! But I am a Figure not Freestyle.

Jacksons are good for beginners...the guy in the store should be able to help you....just tell him what level of skating you are at...and he should recommend the right pair....make sure you don't get something too strong or too big....you want them to fit perfect so you don' t get any blisters!!!

Good Luck to you!!

Jackson classiques are good for low freestyle, or Gamma/Delta. They have nice toepicks and they are stable. Good luck skating!

Hmmm... I have a friend who has Jackson Freestyle and she says it's pretty good so you might want to try that.
