I've been with this girl for four months now, and she's the light of my life. I really do love her, but she's only a freshman while I'm a senior. I'm almost ready to leave and head to LA--she has 3 years of high school left. I want to get her something special, but I don't want it to be TOO extravagant in case we end up having to break up because of distance or other relationship problems.

Jewelry seems too much, a stuffed animal seems too cutesy, underwear...? Any advice?

You don't want to get her anything too extravagant in case you break up? Is that really loving her? Good grief, you guys are strange.

Lingerie, in the way of a pretty nightie would be good, rather than underwear, or some nice perfume. I go for jewellery every time though. Not all jewellery is expensive. You can find some pretty pendants and earrings, that kind of stuff. Use your imagination... something pretty, with a bit of thought put into the gift and not what you're spending.

get her a man!
nah just kiddin with you

seriously? it sounds to me as if u think you might break up so your are right in not getting anything extravagant - similarly dont get anything romantic

what about a nice piece of art work? lasts a long time and can be associated with happy memories

whoa, a senior going out with freshman isn't right

it sure damaged my rep when some freshman girl stalked me last year when i was a junior

but to answer ur question: buy her a season of Lost or somethin, cheap jewelry to be safe

I know you said that jewelry seems like too much, but a simple heart necklace sounds so sweet to me. It's not like a ring or anything.

get her a boyfriend!...

haha no seriously, im not against gays/lesbians taht was a joke

but i agree, i think that a simple necklace would be great, its fun, its chic, but its not too out there,

making a personal card hand-crafted would be nice too

or maybe take her out to dinner and buy her roses,

gift certificate maybe

hmm...use your own judgement, you kno her better than us

good luck

fuzzy...

At her age, I would think jewelry would be okay---just not rings....maybe a pretty necklace, something to look at and remember you when you are in LA. It makes you feel closer to her.

Well, maybe something personalized- do you have a Things Remembered? You could have a bracelet made with your names on it or something......

how about a picture of her and yourself in a pretty picture frame? It is a simple present but it means a lot....

i think instead of getting her a present take her out and just do something extremely romantic and just let her know that you care for her and all that jazz!!!
