I will be taking my girlfriend on 12/15-12/17. We will be staying in the East 40s. I would prefer not to propose in a restaurant. Someplace in Central Pk would be nice? Perhaps Lincoln Center at night or a carriage ride through Central Park? Weather could obviously be a factor.
Thanks for all of your suggestions!

Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center would be nice - besides the amazing views of the city, it is a really beautiful space and will be nicely decorated for the holidays.

Another place with great views is the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Columbus Circle - if you get a table by the window it has amazing views of the city and Central Park

Daniel restaurant on East 65th Street is VERY romantic!

Sea Grill - Rockefeller Center - you can sit and watch the skaters and see the tree...very nice atmosphere and

If you choose Tavern on the Green - call ahead and make sure you get the right room! They have six different dining rooms - try and get the Crystal Room, or out in the garden

If you go to Central Park - there is an area that is right above the Wollman Ice skating rink - you can look down at the ice skaters and still have nice city views too

Even if your ring is not from there...you can get engaged at Tiffany's!

Good luck!

Well weather might play a great game cause yesterday(Thanksgiving) it was to snow in NYC but it rained and it's in the 60's today and it's ending of Fall Entering Winter.

Take her to the Empire State Building. The colors will be will green, red, green or red, green, and white for the holidays. After you propose take a carriage to 59th Street and take the trams to queens then go back to manhattan.(Kiss her again on teh Tram).

Central Park is not a good idea in winter because the winds are high and since the lake is there, it will make it REALLY cold.

Lincoln Center is nice, but crowed because of the tree.

Once a long time ago I used Windows on the World which was located on top of the WTC for that purpose .That of course is no longer a viable option so you may want to try .
The Staten Island Ferry at night .
The museums most notably the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Cloisters have some really interesting nooks and cranny's
You could try outside of Belvedere castle in Central Park
And when all else fails the 86th floor observation deck of the Empire State Building always works
Congrats.

My husband proposed to me in Tavern on the Green in Central Park. Then we took a carriage ride down Broadway into the center of Times Square. However, if you don't want to do it in a restaurant, he was going to take me into the Plaza Hotel and play the piano and sing to me - and then propose!

Congratulations!!...that is, if she says yes!

Do something a sprint distinctive like ask your lodge to make you a picnic without your gf understanding then take her to imperative park and after wooing her with champers and strawberries take her on a horse and carriage trip and do it there. or you should take her to the theatre then make your thank you to Grand imperative Station and propose precise interior the middle with all and sundry looking. There are countless astounding places in NYC so do no longer do the comparable as all and sundry else, make it unique only for her. stable success xx
