You don't really want to mess around in the BIOS unless you know what you are doing. If your getting a blue screen with the message to disable memory options then it's probably caused by a driver on something, like active X or some other software you have installed and usually reinstalling the program or drivers fix error messages.

Acronym for basic input/output system, the built-in software that determines what a computer can do without accessing programs from a disk. On PCs, the BIOS contains all the code required to control the keyboard, display screen, disk drives, serial communications, and a number of miscellaneous functions.

When the computer first starts (before you see the windows
screen), you need
to press a key or keys to enter BIOS Setup. The
key to press depends on PC or
motherboard manufacturer. It's
usually Del, ESC, F1, F2 or F10. Once in the
BIOS, take a look around for video shadowing and disable it. The exit saving your changes. Be careful in the BIOS. You don't want to make any unnecessary changes. If you make a mistake or are unsure, exit without saving your changes.

Haven't a clue what you mean by technical support group but you can go to Microsoft to use their knowledge base http://support.microsoft.com/search/?adv=0

BIOS is the Basic Input/Output System on a PC. It performs low level and often hardware specific operations for the operating system.

First you need to get in to the BIOS, when you boot the PC you will usually see a message telling you to hit f1 or the del key to enter the BIOS.

Be careful, you can pretty much render the PC inopperable by messing with some parameters.
