The term vitamin comes from vital amine, which means that yor body needs them . If youare getting a varied diet, you probably do not need to take vitamin pills. Vitamins A,D,E, and K are fat soluble. You can get an overdose with too many vitamin pills. The others are water soluble and you can not overdose. Vitamins whether taken by pill form or through liquid are essential for our bodies as we do not generally get enough of the daily essential vitamins we need through our food due to processing and additives and other factors. On the other hand, if you are going to take a vitamin in pill form you need to perform the dissolve factor test. Take 8oz if vinegar in a glass and drop your vitamin in there. It should be dissolved in a few hours, if not then it isn't dissolving in your stomach and you are not getting everything you paid for. That is one of the main reasons I take my vitamin B complex and C through a natural and healthy drink as it's absorbed and put to use and not passed as well (waste). A friend of mine vacuums out port-a-cans and you would be surprised at how many vitamins are found as they process the waste as it it screened and filtered to be turned from solid to liquid. This sounds gross but you can actually read the vitamin names on some and yes there are a lot of Centrum's in the process. So do a dissolve test and see for yourself as the pH of vinegar is nearly equal to that of your stomach and after several hours if it's not gone then it's not in your system, well it is, just not where you want it to be. Vitamins work well but only if they dissolve well and only if they are absorbed well by your body. Each vitamin is different and some brands are absorbed better than other. The one I take used fructose compounding so the you get most of the vitamin absobed into your body.

You get all the vitamins you need from fresh food.
You can overdose on vitamin tablets, and cause yourself harm!
Multi-vitamin tablets are being baned in the UK, because of nutters taking supplement tablets!
