Right now I want to even out my skin tone while I slim down/tone up. So I'm trying to avoid the sun as much as I can. I've decided to go swimming since my joints always misbehave. I have no access to indoor pools.

I want to know what time I should start swimming. Should I start at 4pm? 3? 5? I plan to stop in the night, or evenings, at around 8 to 9.

If you could give me tips that can help me that'd be great too.
Thank you!

With 5 minutes breaks in 30 minute intervals, I could for 5 hours.

Normally between about 10 am to 3 pm but you need to adjust for daylight savings time for your area when it is in effect. Actually the chlorine should help the acne problem. Do one day later in the day and another earlier in the day or go out an hour or two later so you can be in the late day sun rather than the end of the mid day sun. If you want to do it late in the evening you would not have to worry about the sun at all. Go about an hour or two before sunset.

At this time of year 4 or 5 is probably ok because the sun will be coming through so much atmosphere before it gets to you it cuts the rays a lot.
For slimming, try eating oatmeal for breakfast every day. I get the single serving Natures Path organics, add a couple tablespoons of raisins or dried cherries or cranberries, microwave for 99 seconds then add little lowfat milk. It's warm and very satisfying. I wasn't eating breakfast at all, and just making this change I've lost four pounds in a month and I'm never ravenous at lunch.
Best wishes on "healthing up"!

Well, you're not going to be able to swim for 5 hours straight. If you're really going to stop at 8PM, I suggest 7PM.
