The Bible was put together by Greek Scholars. It came from 50 different countries in over 60 different languages over 1500 years can anyone explain how they all said the same thing??? Mind you only a limited number of people were competent and literal. I believe this is proof God exists you can do research on the bible's history if you don't beleive me. Thanks

this question needs resentencing:
the bible was made of scriptures that were compiled over 1500 years. By at least 45 different countries and 60 different languages after that Greeks put it togehter under one language GREEK. After they did they noticed it all came together pointing to the same God and Messiah. The seperation between old test and new test is 400 years. WIth minimal number of literal and comptetent writers to write scriptures the new test followed the old in sync. how is this possible

Well, you do also have to take into account, the period of captivity of the Hebrews, by the Babylonians--they made them re-write parts of the Bible. So, some parts of the Old Testament do have to be taken with a grain of salt {no deference to Lot's wife}. lol
Remember also, that the New Testament supersedes the Old.
Another proof of God's existence is described in Psalm 19.

Not really. The Old Testament (the Jews call it the Tanakh) was compiled by Jewish rabbis before the Birth of Christ. In fact, it was fully translated into Greek (called the Septuagint version) in Alexandria during the Ptolemaic Empire (sorry, I don't know the dates for this empire, but it was between the death of Alexander the Great and the Roman conquest of Egypt). It was written entirely in Israel, though someone could argue that the stories in it were based on older stories from Egypt and Babylon (this has been suggested by some scholars, but that is another matter).
The New Testament was written in several places. Several now apocryphal works were also written. Early Christians did not have a full New Testament for a couple of hundred years after the founding of Christianity, though most churches had a gospel and an epistle (or letter) or two. Gradually, as Christianity spread, the New Testament was gradually defined as we see it, though six works (Hebrews, Reveleations, and four now apocryphal works) were controversial. A church council in the Fourth Century settled the six works, giving us the New Testament we have today.
The Old Testament was written in Hebrew (including the Deuterocanon/Apocrypha found in Catholic Bibles, though the Hebrew was lost until recently). The New Testament was written in Greek, because it was the common language of the eastern part of the Roman Empire at the time.
The Bible did not come from 50 different countires in 60 different languages. Regardless, none of the above is proof of God's existence.

Well, I don't know how true your claim that it was 50 different countries and over 60 languages over 1500 years. I honestly don't believe that the bible came from 60 different languages. Would you care to source this?
As far as the bible stories go, the books of the canonical new testament stories are all based on previous books. The stories of the old testament sometimes change. The book of job for example is different than the book of psalms and so on. It is easy to build up on a story is moved from people to people and town to town. Memes have a way of getting around. Have you ever heard that false expression that humans only use 10% of their brain in their lifetime? Well, it is world wide through different cultures.
Either way, the qur'an has about the same going on for it and so does the Torah. Why choose Christianity as the only true religion and not Islam?

The Bible is a miracle in itself. (It defies all odds; It is proof that an outside intellect inspired its writing.
Not just any outside source, but one capable of eternal life. One that lived longer than 1500 years. (Actually its more like 2500 years)
But, here is the rub:
Religious leaders (most of them) have misinterpreted or added definitions of God and Sin and even the duty and desires of God.
Why? They have done it to build their selfish empires.
Example: "And the walls came tumling down" that expression gets evangelicals excited. Actually the verse says the people of Jerico were shut in, and ........ the wall fell flat.
"Moderation in all things" In 1611, when the Bible was translated into English, moderation did not mean "in the middle or the avoidance of extremes" it meant "kindness".
Most cults are based on its wrong meaning-- moderation is the key to good standing among the Amish, or Mennonites, etc.
Homosexuality was mentioned 4 times in the Bible. The first two times it was no big deal. No Punishment no condemnation.
The third time it was Sodom and Gammorah, it has been misunderstood. Sure they were gay, but their sin was disharmony.
Now comes, the Religious leaders who wanted to build their empires in 1611. The original Bible text said that a married man should not have sex with another man. Why? It would cause disharmony with his wife.
"The original idiomatic expression was " a man should not lay with another man as he does with a woman In ... His Wife's Bed"
The phase was generalized by the false translation in the KJ Bible in 1611. Why? Homosexuals do not provide the church with offspring who are brainwashed from birth to become a member of the church/empire.
PS: I find Homosexuality repulsive. However, some Homosexuals probably find heterosexuality repulsive.
Well, if you really want more insight into the Bible, Read "God's Ancestors; Unabridged or the Story.

Brother I believe the Bible is true and the Word of God, but I think some of your assertions are inaccurate. I believe it was compiled over a period of about 1500 years and from perhaps 40 different authors, and that their revelations agree and are in harmony with one another, but I think it is inaccurate to assert it was put together by Greek scholars from 50 different countries and 60 different languages. (The Old Testament is originally in Hebrew with parts in Chaldee; the New Testament was originally in Greek, with the possible exception of Matthew being originally Aramaic). It is essentially a Jewish compilation of writings, all of the authors being Jewish with the possible exception of the Luke (who also authored Acts) in the New Testament.

This is a wonderful question. I was a member of the jury on an aggravated murder. There were many eye witnesses to this murder. If the prosecution had not been skillful in asking the right questions, the witnesses might have told stories that appeared to be at different locations and different times. From different sides of the elephant, one is likely to describe different things. The best reason to have a pope is to filter and edit reality to make it simple. The simple, all encompassing thing that the Bible says is the congregation is to give the priests money and prestige.
By their works you will know them. They are editors.

It shows that the Bible has many sections that have been written later than that section's narrator is meant to have lived. It shows that the Bible encompasses a mixture of genuine places and activities and fictional ones (i.e. parables, and so on.). Why do Christians might desire to injury the Bible by asserting to ensure that us to take it heavily it must be the infallible be attentive to God? i'm an atheist and that i recognize the Bible as a artwork of comments and historic anecdotes. on occasion i think of Christians seem on the Bible as an idol. God exists or does not exist no count number if the Bible is precise history or no longer. stop being so damned insecure and advance up and enable your concept equipment mature slightly. maximum theologians who're Christian have no problem with the Bible's blunders peculiarities. It does not cause them to lose faith (no longer all of 'em...). So take care of the information or you're basically a enthusiast. stop ruining Christianity for something of Christians with the adulthood to settle for the realities (?) of their faith. those of you obesessed with Biblical inerrancy might desire to truly only recover from it.

You're preaching to the choir. I think you'd enjoy the book "The Signature of God" by Grant Jeffrey. It demonstrates incredible mathematical codes and designs in the bible and a whole assortment of astonishing discoveries. God bless :-)

that doesn't prove a thing ,at that time though most people weren't able to read and write most spoke a little latin or greek, the same way most people speak a little english today and oral traditon was the principal method of teaching religion when you combine the fact that there was a healthy trade route established among these places, and everyone stole from each other's religions, anyway, bingo! You got 50 countries putting the same myth together.

I wish only good things for you baby. I believe the dead sea scrolls were the first & the Egyptians were the first to record it. Of course I could be wrong. God knows I've been wrong before. I was married twice.........How could these cultures all say the same thing? Aliens! Maybe we are just an alien experiment!
