She has had it a few days. It isn't a lot when she goes but her behind is sore and has had quite a few accidents. Is on Augmentin for ear infection and pneumonia. Also, any ideas for the rash it has given her? Nothing has worked. Thanks!!

Yes, diarrhea is normal. However, you should consult your doctor if it persists for more then a day or two. Give her Pedialite drinks to keep her hydrated and Yes, it is for ear infections. My son use to get ear infections a lot and he was given that often. I would give my son oatmeal baths for the rash.
A little warm water, oatmeal and sit them in it for at least 10 to 15 minutes, then apply any over the counter rash ointment, I prefer Balmex. It is smooth and it is easy to remove without having to rub the area so much and inflame the infected area.

The most common side effects of Augmentin are diarrhea/loose stools, nausea, skin rashes, and hives which can explain the diarrhea and her rash. Hope that gets better..no fun having a sick little one :-(

All is correct. ESPECIALLY the part about getting her to the doctor quickly or calling him. Little ones can dehydrate quickly if diarrhea lasts longer than two days.
