Your Windows XP Key code is located on a green or blue sticker on the back of your computer tower. Computer manufacturers do this or that there is no way you can lose your key code.

Call Gateway. Any other source of getting keys (I'm guessing for Windows itself) would be considered illegal.

You can't, but there are a couple of programs written in Linux which will give you your key code after running it. You boot with it and it will display the key code.

You can download a very useful program, free, called Keyfinder at the below link. Run that and it'll come up with your Key.
