My wife and a best friend both had died within a week of each other. I was very depressed and was very angry at God, being agnostic at the time. Got so low that I dreaded getting up and living another day of my miserable life. More than a pity party, I just couldn't get on with anything in my life. I prayed that He would reveal himself to me and answer my questions... like why them, why now, why others, why the hurt and despair in the world, etc.
Then He answered. It's hard to put into words all that I felt and experienced at that moment. I do know that my life totally and dramatically changed. The despair and depression simply vanished like smoke, and never did return. I experienced one of those "clear" moments the rest of that day, with joy and peace deep within my being. Everything seemed bright and brand new.
At the time, I thought it was God himself who answered. Now that I am a Christian, I know that He had sent a ministering angel to visit me, to let me know that He loved and cared, not only for me, but for everyone in the world.
As great as all this was, it pales in the knowledge that God is alive and real, that He sent His son to redeem us, and that He wants to establish a loving relationship, to live within us by His Holy Spirit. Something for which we all should be very thankful.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Yes, my family & I have experienced healings, financial miracles, amazing circumstances that could only come from God, etc.
Of course, the greatest miracle of all is the miracle of new life in Christ.... but here is a financial one we had:
A few years ago I was hurting for money, behind on my bills, and no one to turn to. I didn't tell my family or friends about it...I simply told God: "God, I need about a thousand dollars". And I really did need it. Our situation was serious.
A few days later, I was working at my desk and a lady came into the office and asked to speak to me. I had never seen her before and I have never seen her since. I don't even know her name.
She walked up to me and handed me an envelope and left, saying simply "we wanted you to have this". then she walked out. I went into the men's room and opened the envelope.
Inside was a cashier's check for $987.00.
I went home that evening and cried as i told my wife and children about it... It was amazing! It reenforced my faith that God knows our needs and hears our prayers!!!
(Of course, in retrospect, I wish I had prayed for ten thousand dollars... ha!)
God is so good!!
