I have a squeaky floorboard right in the middle of my bathroom floor.
My bathroom has a fitted carpet + underlay.
Is there a way to stop it squeaking with or without lifting the carpet.

Probably not, but if you can gently lift that part of the carpet, I am thinking powdered graphite. Com'on people - let's give this person some other answers. It is quite possible she does not carry a tube of powdered graphite in her purse all the time!

You can use an 8d or 8-penny finish nail, which has a very small head. Then sink it below the surface of the wood using a nail set. Now you can say good-bye to that squeak forever. You would need a hammer, a small drill bit, and a cordless drill. This would take no more than 15-20 minutes to complete.

As others have said - you will have to lift the carpet & then nail or even screw the floorboard down (ensure that you nail/screw into the supporting joist underneath).

some one needs to go under the house and check the floor joist"s and it is possible that water has leak some where under there made the house pads to sidled down and made a bow in floor joists the kitchen and bathroom ,washer rooms are bad about doing that . fix them like that on rental property floor joists usually dry rotted / wood just gets wet and slowly drys out / house sidled down

if you have a basement under it, you can put a wooden shim between the floor and the floor joist, and it will stop the squeak. the squeak is caused by the floor coming away from the floor joist, and that should stop your squeaking
