I'm asking this same question again just to be alittle more specific.
he's not a dealer. It is his first offension. And he wasn't under the influence. I'm not sure of the amount he had on him, but I doubt it was a large amount because he didn't have money that day, so it was probably a friend of his who gave him whatever amount of meth he had. No criminal record. And in the state of California.
How much time will he be getting in jail? His bail amount is 10,000 which I don't think is much compared to the other cases that were presented in court that day who's bail was 100,000 to 1 million

Unfortunately, due to the recent flash of facism these days, he will receive a completely unorthodox amount of time behind bars or probation.
All you can hope is that the people involved in his case are not a bunch of assholes and will either give him his first offence warning or maybe rehab.

YOU can say he's not a dealer all you want, but if he had more than ONE baggie on him or an amount which is more than the usual for one person, he's going to have to prove himself in a court of law. Don't worry about those other cases you saw in the courtroom, as they don't apply to your mans case. Like I said before, call the Public Defenders Office & they should be able to help you out with more info. In the meantime, I hope he's not desperate enough to take a deal & sign his life away! I'm a CA Native, born & raised. Have years in the world of meth logic & powers that be. I got out alive & I wish you the best, but you are entering a world that has no boundaries as you know them. You may need to consider parting ways with this man until he has proven himself & served out his sentence completely.

Depending on the amount of narcotic he had on himself, and considering he is a first offender in the state of CA and I live in CA myeslf - he will have no jail time but he will probably have to go to Drug Diversion Classes and also he will be put on probabtion and might possibly have to submit urine samples as well while he is on probabtion.

not very likely to go to jail. Drug classes will be in order, as well as probation. May also keep this off his record by applying for Accelerated Rehabilitation if this truly is his first offense and no intent to sell was found.

It depends how much he had. How much he dealt. And how long he has been dealing for. Oh and if he tried to escape arrest or not.
