I've heard it said that dogs eat grass when they have digestive trouble or a tummy ache.

Several reasons....to induce vomiting when they have an upset stomach, to pick up traces of animals that passed though that area, or because they like it! I did hear an old wives tale where they ate grass when it was going to rain.

My vet has always said it was because they have a stomach upset and it induces vomiting. Yet, my dogs will eat it and not vomit. So I really dont know for sure.

well if its hungry that could be it but it eats grass when its stomach hurts but mine dose it and it is healthy
