When I take Xanax I notice that sometimes it will kick in in about 30 min. and at other times up to two hours. Is this normal for anyone else?

By the way I am taking regular Xanax and the the extened release. Those for who it can take up too two hours, are you taking the Xanax CR or just plain old Xanax?

it depends sometimes it takes 30 minutes other times 1-2 hours, yeah its different everytime .someone told me to chew them up for fast releif but i heard its not good to do it.

Xanax is very addictive medication and be very care full with it. Usually it takes about 15-30 minutes before it kicks in.

If you need xanax to work fast, dislove it under you tongue. It's tastes bitter, but not it's unbearable. Let it disolve very slowly and it will kick it in minutes. This is the only way I ever take it.

it depends on how big of a dose im taking. i have 1mg pills a day, and i tend to take up to four of those, id say they kick in within 30, 45 minutes

yep... im thinking it depends on food in your stomach... an empty stomach and w glass of water and it is in effect in 10 min or so.
its not extended release, so there isnt anything wrong with biting the pill up a little if your freakin out.

thats not a real good one to be on, its really not for long term because people tend to like it too much then it can get some hooked...if your panic attack are something thats gone on for a while, as for a long term med before you get hooked..

usually about twenty minutes if not faster...it is really an amazing drug..but watch out for the withdrawals...they can cause seizures...good luck and stay calm..lol
