It depends on a whole lot of things such as stress, worry, new situations, etc. I wouldn't go and get medicine for it as this depression could be just a brief "growing up" phase. Things will get better, I promise, just talk to someone you trust and hash things out with them.

It depends upon why you're depressed. Whatever the cause, teen depression is very serious, and can be very dangerous. Talk to someone you trust, you parents, a teacher, someone. If you are shy and/or embarrassed, try calling a depression hotline. They will give you information and some excellent sources so that you can be sure you get the help you need. Good luck and God bless.

Depression is a scary thing. It can lead to suicidal thoughts and perhaps worse. Start with writing a letter to yourself. Write down all the things that may be depressing you. Then show it to your parents or an older relative who can help direct you. Your school may also offer an avenue of relief. Try discussing this with your counselor. And remember your 15....your life is just starting and one thing they don't tell you. Life is rarely a walk in the park. But it's those ups and downs, and how we handle them that eventually make us who we are. PEACE

a sediantary lifestyle will cause depression in an otherwise normal individual. Exercise those blues away. Start with push ups. And graduate to running and lifting weights. The natural chemicals that will be released in your body will ultimately make you feel like a new person.

what does it cause? depression can cause a host of problems - physical, mental, emotional, etc....but maybe your question should be "what causes it?" do you know why you are depressed? has something changed in your life? is it about family? friend? bad stuff happening? sex stuff?
being 15 ain't easy.... lots and lots of people your age struggle with depression or just feeling lonely, down, worthless, etc.
don't lose hope!! there are people who care and will try to help you through this time, i am sure!

I was your age last year...I went through a smililar faze. All you really have to do is assess the situation. Determine what it is that's bothering you, and change it. Any problem can be solved.
