I hunt were there are oak trees, fields and brier patches, There are huge rubs bigger than coffee cans. I know the big bucks are still alive and there are alot of other people who hunt it. it seems to me that the big bucks have been moving at 1 or 2 mid day? that sounds wierd but i think its true. people do alot of driving deer out there but, would they probably be feeding out of the oak trees?

A mature White-tail stays in thick cover. Thats why they survive to be mature and big...they are much wiser. Look for them during the peak of the rut. Thats probably your only chance to harvest a big buck. After the rut they go into the cover again.

I myself hunt in pa. Anything.big shot after the first day here is either shot while pushing deer to watchers , feeding in the evenings ,or watching the thickest part of a selected woods and hoping he will come out to feed on any one of , should have been preselected trails, and a little prayer said that he isnt smart enough to become completely nocturnal.they still maybe feeding in the acorns but as i said before it may be at night. good luck, im hunting a big one too.

forget each and all the hassle approximately fancy kit. I as quickly as took a bull moose aside with no longer something yet a well-recognized Leatherman gadget.......... I had to force on short word to a diverse area of Alaska the place the season opened till now than the place I lived - I had a tag, had a rifle........ and stumbled throughout the time of criminal moose 6am beginning day. Wasn't till once I shot it observed my many times knife kit became no longer with me - yet my Leatherman and diamond sharpener have been. You by no ability observed anyone so happy to work out a 2.5" knife blade! LOL. i became annoying pressed to get all of it into my Jeep. Worse - some miles down the line we suddenly met quite a few criminal caribou and my spouse on the time had a tag for them........ they have been good beside the line approximately 50 ft way and an uncomplicated shot. yet - no room in the Jeep!! What you could desire to do is spend time in places the place the deer are at. grab a digicam - this is an exceedingly good thank you to prepare on deer in the off season - and get out the place the deer are and initiate getting some eyeball time on them. each and all the looking kit and gadgets in the worldwide heavily isn't any help in case you could no longer get one in front of your rifle. once you're proficient sufficient in the woods to locate 2 or 3 criminal deer an afternoon - then initiate questioning what kit could desire to be reachable. via this time you have a exceedingly good lay of the land and recognize what would be clever and what could desire to be extra weight. from time to time what works in one area - you go with something completely diverse for a place in basic terms some miles away. If hunters spent extra time in the sphere in the off season and much less time drooling over catalogs........ they may be plenty extra effectual. wish this helps.

Somehow, deer know when it's the first day of rifle season. I think they pack up and head to town until it's over.
