With strep, you will run a high fever, sore throat and pus pockets in the back of your throat. DO NOT mess with strep!!!!!! It can cause some serious side diseases such as Rheumatic Fever which WILL damage your heart valves. It can also go into other problems. No one can tell if it really is strep without a throat culture. GET ONE!!!! See a doctor. Good luck. Pops

See a doctor. I've had some of those symptoms recently and what I've learned is that it can be strep or mono or another virus. I don't think high fever is common with a virus as it is with strep or mono. If it's strep you need to see a doctor to get on antibiotics. If it turns out to be mono, they'll treat the symptoms and let the virus run its course. Oh, and take some Aleeve, Tyelenol, or other pain reliever to get rid of that feever.
Feel better soon.

It is either strep or pharyngitis. You should probably go to urgent care to get started on some antibiotics. Especially with that temperature. My throat was very itchy, like I wanted to reach in my throat and scratch it. The urgent care can do a swab and have an answer for you in about five minutes. If you have it then you can get on the road to getting better.

Yes it sounds like you have strep. I had it last summer and I have it right now. You have the same symptons I have. I would go to the doctor. Strep can be dangerous, and the doctor can give you some medicine that will help.

Sore, itchy throat with white spots on the back of it. It sounds like you have a flu virus.

Kinda sounds like it to me. Are there white pus sacs on your tonsils? You should see a doctor ASAP to get started on some antiboitics.
