Some of the children I know don't have a lot to look forward to on a daily, monthly, yearly basis and Christmas is a big thing for them. Life is duly faced and all its problems when we are older. Let the children have fun and innocence before its too late. I am certainly pleased I was not told Santa came out of the Club book.

I did to my girls but if I had to do it all over again I would have told them it is a holiday traditon and all in fun but then taught them the true meaning of Christmas. I never did tho go all out for santa with them. I do think it's wrong now and I don't think the people in the Bible did any such thing.

I'm a saint and I'm holy and it's my job to tell people about stories in the Bible, though not all are true. Does that make me a liar? I think not. It's all very metaphorical, as the saying goes.
Sometimes a gentle lie is better than a nasty truth, it all depends on the context. Now go to sleep my child.

No, it's not right to lie to children... That is a betyrayal of trust... The writers of the Bible were interested in telling the truth... Lies are of the Devil...

Definitely tell them about santa claus! The message of Santa Claus (Christmas is a fun time when people should love one another) is great -- and true. Plus, you can tell them the real story of St. Nicholas as well.

Fantasy, imagination, creativity are part of human development!

Stories, parables, lessons, are all teaching tools of higher intelligence.

Allow the child to imagine the possibilities! For goodness sakes.
