we've been together two years .he can understand but not speak it very well .

Learning is easy when he listens and talks. Talk to him most of the time and let him answer your questions. If he answers wrong, correct and let him do the talkin'... by year end, you can check the progress on how he speaks English correctly...

He needs to practise speaking in English all the time - do you know how to speak his language? You could talk to him in his and he should talk to you in english. good way for both of you to learn each others :)

let him watch Sesame Street! i've learned English with the help of Sesame Street. it's kind of childish but Sesame Street is easy to understand. you never know if you don't try!
if he's willing to learn, it would be easier!
